LA Opera

Last year LA Opera cast joined Rockdale students for performance of The Prospector.

Rockdale Visual and Performing Arts participates in an ongoing Student/Teacher Residency with the LA Opera. Past performances by the fourth grade included the The Marriage of Figueroa, The Prospector, and The Legend of Cannery Row. Rockdale students also attend special performances, such as The Magic Dream, a children’s opera based on W. A. Mozart's The Magic Flute, which was created and performed by the LA Opera.

LA Opera returns this year for their residency with the 4th grade. They will be culminating with a performance of The Legend of Cannery Row. Parents and community members are invited to attend and enjoy this wonderful, musical collaboration.
